Overview

Bombardier began deliveries of the Challenger 605 in 2007 and has a fleet of over 240 aircraft and growing.  The fourth variant of the 600 series, the Challenger 605 replaced the Challenger 604.  Improvements over the Challenger 604 include larger cabin windows, ProLine 21 avionics, and state-of-the-art cabin entertainment system.  Current corporate operators of the Challenger 605 include McDonald’s, Boeing and State Farm.

Challenger 605 Buying Guide

The Challenger 605 is available new through Bombardier and also used on the open market.  When considering a prior-owned Challenger 605, 96 month maintenance inspections and 60 month landing gear overhauls should be considered for each aircraft.  For those with pending inspections or overhauls, an optional maintenance service plan (Bombardier Smart Parts) will mitigate some cost.  Engine maintenance plans for the engines (GE OnPoint) are also available.  As a current production aircraft, aircraft less than 5 years of age will have remaining warranty.

Common competitors: Falcon 2000EX Easy, Falcon 2000LX, Gulfstream G280
