Dassault Falcon 2000EX EASy

Falcon 2000EX Exterior Dassault Falcon 2000EX Interior Dassault Falcon 2000EX Interior 2 Dassault Falcon 2000EX Flight Deck

Overview

The Falcon 2000EX is the successor for the popular Falcon 2000.  The Falcon 2000EX improvements include a new state-of-the-art avionics suite called Honeywell EASy.  The EASy cockpit contributes to operational safety through increased overall situational awareness and reduced pilot workload.  Dassault also changed the engines to the Pratt & Whitney 308C which adds better overall performance and range.  The improved range versus the Falcon 2000 is significant: over 900 miles.  The PW308C also provides an improvement in maintenance cost, over $600/hr, over the previous engines.  Even with these advancements, Dassault continued to improve this design with the 2000LX and 2000LXS in later years.  The 2000EX fleet is 110 aircraft and current corporate operators include USAA, United Technologies, and Cigna.

Falcon 2000EX EASy Buying Guide

The Falcon 2000EX is only available pre-owned on the open market.  A number of options are available to include avionics enhancements like heads-up display (HUD) and EASy II upgrade.   Aftermarket winglets also provide slightly more range as well as some fuel efficiency.  Cabin options include cabin layout, internet access, and cabin entertainment systems.  Standard seating configurations include 8-seat and 10-seat options.  From a market acceptance and resale standpoint, the 10-seat configuration has proven more desirable.  For aircraft nearing 6 or 12 years of age, careful consideration should be given to the “C” inspection which can be costly and timely.  Engine maintenance plans for the engines (Honeywell MSP or JSSI) are also available.
