Gulfstream G280

G280 Exterior Gulfstream G280 Interior Gulfstream G280 Interior 2 Gulfstream G280 Flight Deck

The G280′s roots come from its predecessor, the G200.  However, there are minimal similarities between the two aircraft.  Gulfstream took the strengths and shortcomings of the G200 and designed the G280.  This includes retaining the cabin volume of the G200 but increasing overall performance with a new wing design and more powerful engines.  The G280 also incorporates the PlaneView280 flight deck based on the Collins Pro Line Fusion avionics.  Deliveries began in 2012 and the fleet has already grown over 40 aircraft.  Corporate operators of the G280 include Cox Enterprises and Dominion Resources.

Gulfstream G280 Buying Guide

Due its young age, the G280 fleet will all be under factory warranty.  The aircraft is available new through Gulfstream with delivery lead times to be considered.  There is very limited availability of prior-owned G280s in today’s market.  Optional interior configurations can accommodate eight, nine, or ten passengers.  Other options include Heads Up Display (HUD) and Enhanced Vision System (EVS).  Maintenance service plans for engines (Honeywell MSP or JSSI) and airframe (PlaneParts) are also available.
