Bombardier Lear 40XR
The Bombardier Lear 40XR is a variant of the popular Lear 45XR. It was designed to appeal to buyers with a similar mission at a lower price point, specifically aiming to intrigue buyers in the Citation CJ market. Compared to the Lear 45XR, the 40XR has two fewer seats (6 total), no auxiliary power unit (APU), and better runway performance. Deliveries began in 2005 and the fleet has just short of 100 aircraft. The 40XR was replaced in 2013 with the upgraded Lear 70. Lear 40XR corporate operators include Walmart, Kiewit, and QuikTrip.
Lear 40XR Buying Guide
The Lear 40XR will only be available on the prior-owned market. The only significant variance among the fleet is the modification for the extended range option, which increases fuel capacity yielding 268nm of range. Optional maintenance service plans for engines (Honeywell MSP) and airframe (Bombardier Smart Parts) are also available to smooth cashflows and assist in resale.
